Signature Moments

The Timeout That Wasn't — 1993 NCAA Championship

April 5, 1993·vs vs North Carolina

Michigan's Fab Five were in the national championship game. Webber got the rebound, dribbled up court, and called a timeout. Michigan had no timeouts left. Technical foul. North Carolina won. It's the most infamous mistake in college basketball history.

One play defined his college career. He was 20 years old and made a mistake on the biggest stage in college basketball. The timeout haunted him forever.

2002 Western Conference Finals — Robbed by the Refs

May 2002·vs vs Los Angeles Lakers

The Kings took the Lakers to Game 7 of the 2002 WCF in one of the most controversial series in NBA history. Game 6 officiating is still debated — the Lakers shot 27 free throws in the fourth quarter. Many believe the Kings were robbed of a championship.

If Game 6 was called fairly, Sacramento might have won the 2002 title. It remains the biggest officiating controversy in NBA playoff history.
