Signature Moments
Dame Time — The Wave Goodbye
Game 5, series tied 2-2. Lillard pulled up from 37 feet — the logo — with 3 defenders converging and the game on the line. Swish. Series over. He turned and waved goodbye to the OKC bench. Russell Westbrook and Paul George could only watch. He scored 50 that night.
A 37-foot buzzer-beater to win a series. Then he waved goodbye. The coldest exit in playoff history.
The Buzzer-Beater vs Houston — 2014 Playoffs
Lillard's first career playoff buzzer-beater: 0.9 seconds left in Game 6, he caught the inbound, turned, and drained a contested three to win the series. It was his second season. He became the first player to hit a series-winning buzzer-beater in his playoff debut year.
His very first playoff series — and he ended it with a buzzer-beater. Dame Time was born.
61 Points — Loyalty Over Everything
Lillard scored 61 points against the Warriors, hitting 11 three-pointers. He did it while every superstar was leaving their small-market team to join super-teams. Lillard stayed in Portland for over a decade, becoming the greatest Trail Blazer since Clyde Drexler.
Every other star wanted out. Dame stayed. He scored 61 points and kept Portland relevant through sheer individual brilliance.
