Signature Moments

71 Points — The Scoring Title Chase

April 24, 1994·vs vs Los Angeles Clippers

On the last day of the 1993-94 season, Robinson scored 71 points to win the scoring title over Shaq. He shot 26-for-41 from the field. His teammates kept feeding him the ball. The Clippers couldn't stop him. It was the third-highest single-game total in NBA history.

Seventy-one points on the last day of the season to steal the scoring title. The Admiral was a war machine when he needed to be.

The Quadruple-Double

February 17, 1994·vs vs Detroit Pistons

Robinson recorded 34 points, 10 rebounds, 10 assists, and 10 blocks — a quadruple-double. Only four players in NBA history have achieved one. Robinson did it with blocks, the hardest stat to accumulate to double digits.

A quadruple-double with 10 blocks. He was 7'1", ran the floor like a guard, and swatted everything near the rim.

Mentoring Tim Duncan — The Greatest Handoff

1997-2003·vs N/A

Robinson could have been jealous when Duncan arrived. Instead, he embraced the role of mentor. They won the 1999 championship together — the Twin Towers. Robinson retired in 2003, passing the franchise to Duncan, who won 4 more titles. The most selfless transition in NBA history.

He welcomed his replacement and taught him everything. That selflessness is why San Antonio became a dynasty.
