Brian's Song — The Friendship with Brian Piccolo
Sayers and Brian Piccolo became the first interracial roommates in NFL history. When Piccolo was diagnosed with cancer, Sayers dedicated his Courage Award to him: "I love Brian Piccolo, and I'd like all of you to love him too." Their story became the TV movie "Brian's Song" — the most emotional sports film ever made.
