Signature Moments

"Fo, Fo, Fo" — The 1983 Prediction

April-May 1983·vs vs Entire NBA

Moses predicted the 76ers would sweep every playoff round: "Fo, fo, fo." They went 12-1, losing only one game. Moses averaged 26/15.8 in the playoffs and won Finals MVP. The most dominant playoff run until Shaq's Lakers.

He predicted a sweep and nearly delivered it. The 1983 Sixers were a juggernaut and Moses was the engine.

Three MVPs — The Chairman of the Boards

1979-1983·vs vs Entire NBA

Moses won three MVP awards (1979, 1982, 1983) and led the league in rebounding six times. He was the most relentless offensive rebounder in NBA history, turning missed shots into second-chance points with sheer effort and positioning.

Three MVPs. The greatest offensive rebounder ever. Moses Malone made missed shots as valuable as made ones.

Straight from High School — The Pioneer

1974·vs vs N/A

Moses Malone went straight from high school to professional basketball in 1974, signing with the ABA's Utah Stars. He was the first player to successfully make the leap from high school to pro — paving the way for KG, Kobe, LeBron, and every prep-to-pro player who followed.

Before Kobe. Before KG. Before LeBron. Moses Malone proved a high schooler could dominate grown men.
