Signature Moments

The Dunk on Ewing — 1994 Playoffs

May 20, 1994·vs vs New York Knicks

With Jordan retired, Pippen led the Bulls deep into the 1994 playoffs. He drove baseline, rose up, and dunked over Patrick Ewing — one of the most violent posters in NBA history. Then he stood over Ewing and pointed down at him. The moment announced: Pippen was a star, not a sidekick.

He dunked on the Knicks' franchise player and stood over him. Without Jordan, Pippen showed the world he was a top-5 player in his own right.

Six Championships — The Greatest Robin

1991-1998·vs vs NBA

Pippen won six championships alongside Jordan, was named to the All-NBA First Team three times, and made the All-Defensive First Team eight times. He was the defensive anchor, the playmaker, the glue. Jordan couldn't win without him — and Jordan knew it.

Jordan needed Pippen. Full stop. Six rings together. The greatest duo in basketball history.

1992 Dream Team — Top 50 All-Time

August 1992·vs vs The World

Pippen was named to the 1992 Dream Team and the NBA's 50 Greatest Players list. On the Dream Team, his versatility was on full display — defending every position, running the break, making plays for Jordan and Magic and Bird.

He guarded 1 through 5 on the greatest basketball team ever assembled. Pippen's versatility was decades ahead of its time.
