Signature Moments

The Star — Celebrating on the Dallas Logo

September 24, 2000·vs vs Dallas Cowboys

After scoring a touchdown at Texas Stadium, T.O. ran to midfield and celebrated on the Dallas Cowboys star. George Teague sprinted across the field and knocked him off. T.O. scored again and did it again. It was the most brazen, disrespectful celebration in NFL history — and it was magnificent.

He celebrated on the Cowboys' sacred star. Twice. T.O. didn't care about your feelings. He cared about being unforgettable.

The Super Bowl on a Broken Leg — 2005

February 6, 2005·vs vs New England Patriots

T.O. broke his leg 7 weeks before Super Bowl XXXIX. Doctors said he was done. He played anyway — catching 9 passes for 122 yards on a surgically repaired leg. The Eagles lost, but T.O.'s performance on a broken leg was the most courageous in Super Bowl history.

Broken leg. Nine catches. 122 yards. In the Super Bowl. Say what you want about T.O. — the man was fearless when it mattered.

"That's My Quarterback" — The Driveway Press Conference

March 22, 2006·vs N/A

T.O. held a press conference in his driveway doing sit-ups while defending his quarterback, Donovan McNabb, through tears. "That's my quarterback," he said, crying. The clip became one of the most memed moments in sports history. He was chaotic, emotional, and impossible to look away from.

Sit-ups in the driveway. Tears. "That's my quarterback." T.O. was the most entertaining, most infuriating, most watchable player in NFL history.
