Rising from the Canvas: Fury vs Wilder III
Wilder knocked Fury down twice in the fourth round. Fury looked finished. He got up both times and systematically broke Wilder down over the next seven rounds, finally stopping him with a devastating right hand in the 11th. The trilogy produced three of the most exciting heavyweight fights in modern history.
Considered the greatest heavyweight fight of the 21st century. Both men were knocked down. Fury survived two knockdowns to win by KO in the 11th.
Fury had been out of boxing for nearly three years due to depression, drug use, and ballooning to 400+ pounds. He came back, drew with Wilder, then knocked him out twice. His resurrection is one of the most remarkable comeback stories in sports.
